The Safety Manager promotes a strong safety culture, ensuring that every team member returns home safely each day. This role is primarily field-based, spending the majority of time on job sites observing and coaching team members on safe practices, correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors, and reinforcing positive safety behaviors through recognition and rewards. The Safety Manager also serves as a resource for safety questions, shares lessons learned, and works closely with project teams to improve safety, quality, and productivity (SQP).
Promote a culture of safety across all project teams.
Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and other relevant safety standards.
Conduct job site safety inspections, case management, and hazard assessments.
Oversee direct reports or safety personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and mitigating hazards.
Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and best practices.
Track safety performance using leading indicators and implement improvement measures.
Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 4 years of safety experience in construction, concrete, or related industries.
OSHA certifications, including OSHA 500 or equivalent preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
Ability to work independently on job sites and manage multiple priorities.
