Ruminant Sales Manager

  • Our client is a leading name in the animal nutrition industry and is seeking a Ruminant Sales Manager to drive national growth and performance across the United States. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll take full ownership of the commercial strategy, team development, and financial performance of the ruminant division.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Manage the full P&L for the ruminant business across the U.S. and ensure financial targets are achieved

    • Lead and develop a team of account managers by fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement

    • Set annual budgets and sales goals, and deliver results through territory planning, forecasting, and structured performance tracking

    • Conduct monthly sales reviews and quarterly business meetings to assess progress and adjust strategy where needed

    • Build individual development plans to strengthen your team's sales effectiveness and technical expertise

    • Ensure consistent use of CRM tools and sales reporting systems to manage the pipeline and track account activity

    • Maintain strong relationships with key distributors and accounts while driving product growth and customer retention

    • Partner with internal teams including marketing, operations, finance, and technical services to align efforts and support execution

    • Represent the business at major trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings

    • Gather market insights and customer feedback to inform business priorities and support innovation

    About You

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ruminant Nutrition, Animal Science, or a closely related field

    • At least five years of sales or marketing experience within agriculture or animal health, including leadership responsibilities

    • Strong track record of managing team performance and delivering against financial goals, with experience owning a P&L

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on coaching, feedback, and cross-functional collaboration

    • Proficient in CRM platforms and reporting tools

    • Open to regular travel across the United States
