We are representing a market leading national Architect firm in Los Angeles who due to significant growth, secured future projects and natural expansion, the reputable business are seeking a Project Architect.

The established organisation delivers in specialist markets such as Multifamily, Retail, Mixed Use, Higher Education, K-12, Civic, Workplace, Hospitality and Commercial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through all phases, including programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Develop technical design solutions by translating client requirements into conceptual strategies, design studies, and coordinated construction documents.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and overall project health, proactively identifying and escalating risks or changing conditions when necessary.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, facilitating approvals, presentations, progress updates, and ongoing communication throughout the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering consultants, speciality consultants, vendors, fabricators, and contractors, ensuring seamless integration of all project deliverables.
  • Oversee document quality and compliance through internal reviews, peer reviews, and QA/QC processes prior to issuance of contract documents.
  • Provide construction administration services, including site visits, shop drawing reviews, contractor coordination, and support during project execution.
  • Assemble and manage consultant teams, negotiate scopes of work, coordinate contracts, and oversee consultant performance throughout all project phases.
  • Support business operations through proposal development, additional services management, invoicing coordination, accounts receivable oversight, and contract execution.
  • Mentor junior team members, contribute to staffing and resource planning, and support business development and marketing efforts to strengthen client relationships and generate new opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-15 years architectural experience.
  • Registered and licensed architect. Open to anyone studying and taking exams towards registration.
  • Delivered in projects such as Multifamily, Retail, Mixed Use, Higher Education, K-12, Civic, Workplace, Hospitality and Commercial.
  • Experience of being client facing for stakeholder engagement.
  • Has previously used or is using Revit.
