We are representing a national and market leading employee owned Architect & Engineering firm, who are looking and seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager in San Diego.
Due to secured upcoming riveting and engaging projects, this opportunity would be reporting into the Principal Architect and supporting on all phases.
Key responsibilities
- Development and implementation of architectural design concepts across multiple concurrent projects from early stages through construction.
- Undertake technical design assignments including programming client requirements, developing conceptual strategies, and producing construction documentation.
- Translate conceptual designs into detailed technical studies, drawings, and coordinated design solutions.
- Produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings, models, renderings, and presentation materials to communicate design intent effectively.
- Manage and coordinate project documentation across internal teams, engineering disciplines, and specialist consultants to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to present design solutions, obtain feedback, and secure approvals throughout all project stages.
- Facilitate communication between clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and permitting authorities to support smooth project delivery.
- Provide ongoing design support during detailed design development, construction documentation, and execution phases.
- Conduct product research and collaborate with external consultants, manufacturers, furniture suppliers, and fabricators to inform material and system selection.
- Assist in project scope development, planning, and bidding processes while ensuring alignment with design standards, budgets, and schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Residing in San Diego or within a commutable distance.
- Ideally licensed architect or on course to become registered.
- Comfortable with Revit or similar software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder management.
