We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our beef manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for supervising production lines, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, optimizing workforce efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meat processing, excellent leadership skills, and a keen understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production staff to ensure efficient and timely processing of beef products.

  • Monitor production output, quality standards, and adherence to food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, BRC, etc.).

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

  • Train, coach, and evaluate production team members to maintain high performance and skill levels.

  • Identify and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Work closely with maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and senior management teams.

  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.

  • Ensure raw materials and resources are used efficiently to minimize downtime and yield loss.

  • Enforce hygiene standards and support audit readiness.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a beef or meat processing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of meat processing techniques, equipment, and food safety regulations.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a high-pressure, fast-paced production environment.

  • Experience with HACCP, GMP, and other industry-standard food safety programs.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Competency with Microsoft Office and production management systems (ERP/MES systems preferred).

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.


Desirable Attributes:

  • Formal training or certification in food production, meat processing, or operations management.

  • Understanding of yield optimization and cost control in beef manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

  • Ability to adapt to changing production demands and maintain composure under pressure.
