A leading U.S. rice manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the entire production process within the Ready-to-Serve department, managing four critical areas:
Kitchen (ingredient prep/mixing), Fillers, Cooking & Retort, and Packaging.
You'll be one of two supervisors on-site per shift, leading a team of 30+ employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality food production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations across all four production zones
- Lead a team of ~30 hourly employees with one additional supervisor on shift
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation standards
- Oversee proper setup, operation, and troubleshooting of automated equipment
- Support shift transitions and ensure smooth hand offs between day and night teams
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost performance and reduce downtime
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure adherence to schedules
Preferred Experience:
- Background in retort processing, high-care environments, or ready-to-eat food manufacturing
- Strong leadership in a fast-paced, automated food production setting
- Solid understanding of food safety protocols and quality systems
- Ability to manage cross-functional responsibilities in a hands-on environment
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Rotating 3-4-4-3 schedule: 3 days on / 4 days off, then 4 days on / 3 days off
- 12-hour shifts: Either 4AM-4PM or 4PM-4AM
- Every other weekend off
- On-site support with another shift supervisor
