Production Supervisor - Food

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead and motivate a production team to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee daily operations on the manufacturing floor, driving results through strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Your goal will be to achieve production targets while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

• Lead, coach, and develop your team to maintain high performance and engagement.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and sanitation standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.).

• Monitor production performance, identify issues, and take corrective action to minimize downtime and waste.

• Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and performance updates to your team and management.

• Partner with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Conduct shift start-up meetings and ensure proper shift handoff communication.

• Maintain accurate documentation including production reports, downtime logs, and safety records.

• Support and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

• Promote a positive, inclusive work environment that values teamwork and employee contributions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and food safety practices.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with production reporting systems and basic computer applications.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
