Production Superintendent - Poultry

About the Company:
Our client is a leading poultry processing and manufacturing business, supplying high-quality products to major retailers, foodservice, and export markets. With a strong reputation for operational excellence, animal welfare, and food safety, they are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to join their leadership team and help deliver on growth and efficiency targets.

The Role:
As Production Manager, you will oversee day-to-day poultry manufacturing operations, ensuring that production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all quality and regulatory standards. You will lead production teams across the facility, drive performance improvements, and play a key role in meeting customer and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage production teams to achieve performance, output, and yield targets.

• Oversee daily production operations from raw material intake through to finished product dispatch.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, USDA, OSHA, and health & safety regulations.

• Monitor production KPIs including yields, throughput, efficiency, and waste reduction.

• Partner with supply chain, engineering, QA/technical, and planning teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and best practice principles.

• Manage labor planning, training, and team development.

• Support audits, customer visits, and compliance reporting.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Supervisor in poultry or wider food manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of poultry processing operations, yields, and compliance requirements.

• Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate large teams.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning abilities.

• A proactive, results-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
