Production Superintendent - Beef

Our client is a leading beef processor, supplying high-quality products to major retailers, foodservice, and export customers. Known for operational excellence, safety, and commitment to customer satisfaction, they are seeking a proactive and results-driven Production Superintendent to oversee daily plant operations and drive performance across production lines.

The Role:
As Production Superintendent, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day beef production activities, ensuring targets are met for safety, quality, efficiency, and output. You'll supervise frontline supervisors and production teams, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with USDA, food safety, and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily beef processing operations across assigned production areas.

• Lead and support supervisors and production staff to meet KPIs for yield, throughput, quality, and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with USDA, FSIS, HACCP, GMP, and health & safety requirements.

• Partner with QA, maintenance, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Monitor production metrics and drive corrective actions where needed.

• Support implementation of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.

• Contribute to labor planning, training, and employee development.

• Ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performance work environment.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Production Superintendent, Production Supervisor, or similar leadership role in meat or food manufacturing (beef industry experience highly preferred).

• Strong knowledge of beef processing operations and compliance standards.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Solid problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.

• A results-driven, hands-on leader with strong attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to production demands.
