The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Underground Production Shift Supervisor to take charge of day-to-day underground operations at a major mining site in Ontario. Working a 14 days on / 14 days off roster (days and nights), this position offers a balanced lifestyle with either drive-in/drive-out or fly-in/fly-out options depending on where you live.

Reporting to the Mine Foreman, you'll play a pivotal role in supervising crews, ensuring safety standards, and driving development targets in line with the mine plan.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and motivate underground production and development crews.

  • Coordinate mucking, drilling, and hauling operations to meet KPIs.

  • Conduct daily safety interactions, lead crew line-up meetings, and complete reports.

  • Mentor your workforce, setting and reinforcing best practices to achieve safe production.

  • Handover completed development drifts to the production team for stoping.

  • Collaborate with other departments to improve conditions, productivity, and adoption of new technologies.

What You'll Bring

  • 5-10 years of underground mining experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong safety mindset and ability to lead by example.

  • Underground Hard Rock Mining Supervisory Common Core certification.

  • Experience in production mining (stope charging/drilling) is highly regarded.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.

  • Ability to foster collaboration in a cross-cultural workforce.
