We're seeking an experienced Underground Production Shift Supervisor to take charge of day-to-day underground operations at a major mining site in Ontario. Working a 14 days on / 14 days off roster (days and nights), this position offers a balanced lifestyle with either drive-in/drive-out or fly-in/fly-out options depending on where you live.
Reporting to the Mine Foreman, you'll play a pivotal role in supervising crews, ensuring safety standards, and driving development targets in line with the mine plan.
Supervise and motivate underground production and development crews.
Coordinate mucking, drilling, and hauling operations to meet KPIs.
Conduct daily safety interactions, lead crew line-up meetings, and complete reports.
Mentor your workforce, setting and reinforcing best practices to achieve safe production.
Handover completed development drifts to the production team for stoping.
Collaborate with other departments to improve conditions, productivity, and adoption of new technologies.
5-10 years of underground mining experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
Strong safety mindset and ability to lead by example.
Underground Hard Rock Mining Supervisory Common Core certification.
Experience in production mining (stope charging/drilling) is highly regarded.
Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to foster collaboration in a cross-cultural workforce.
