Production Scheduler - Food Manufacturing

CSG are partnered with a leading organisation in the food manufacturing industry to hire an experienced Production Scheduler. This is a critical role responsible for managing daily and weekly production plans, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring customers receive product on time.

The Role

The Production Scheduler will own the planning, updating, and execution of production schedules based on forecasted demand, inventory position, and operational capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules for liquid product lines.

  • Monitor manufacturing progress and adjust plans based on equipment availability, staffing changes, or supply issues.

  • Maintain clear communication with production, warehouse, purchasing, and transportation teams.

  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Support annual inventory audits and ensure compliance with internal standards.

  • Assist with additional projects and departmental initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Previous experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or logistics.

  • Background in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and production flow.

  • Proficiency with scheduling systems, spreadsheets, and inventory management software.

  • Ability to identify materials flow issues and implement solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills across teams, vendors, and customers.

  • Strong focus on accuracy, quality, and customer service.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving production environment.
