Production Manager/Supervisor - Winnipeg, Canada

Our client is a global engineering group specialising in mining and rock excavation, metal-cutting and materials technology. Their ITH center of excellence, in Winnipeg, serves as the global hub for the design, manufacturing, and lifecycle support of underground ITH drills and support units and are looking for a Production manager to lead the operations.

As the Production Manager, you will report into the General Manager and be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality production while meeting operational targets for efficiency, cost, and on-time delivery. They are looking for a results driven leader who can develop people and drive continuous improvement.

In this Production Manager position you will also be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing production plans to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
  • Monitoring inventory and collaborating closely with procurement to ensure material availability.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing production team.
  • Setting clear performance expectations and drive accountability through structured objectives (OKRs/KPIs).
  • Continuously improving production processes to optimize efficiency and throughput.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards and drive a culture of operational excellence.
  • Managing production budgets and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and improve overall performance.
  • Championing a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Leading by example-safety is non-negotiable.

Essentials

  • Live or willing to move to Winnipeg.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe and high-performance work environment
  • A mechanical aptitude.
