We are working with a market leader in the beef manufacturing industry, known for producing high-quality products through innovation, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Production Manager to join our leadership team and ensure the efficient, safe, and high-performing operation of our beef processing facility.
Role Overview
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily plant production activities, ensuring targets for safety, quality, efficiency, and yield are consistently achieved. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of beef processing operations, a focus on people development, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of daily production to meet quality, safety, and efficiency goals.
Supervise, train, and develop production teams to maintain high standards of performance and engagement.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including HACCP, GMP, and USDA/FSIS standards.
Monitor production KPIs and implement strategies to improve yield, throughput, and cost control.
Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in processes, equipment, and team performance.
Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Support scheduling, production planning, and resource allocation to meet demand requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within beef or protein processing.
Strong knowledge of beef processing operations, yield optimization, and food safety systems.
Proven leadership and people management skills in a high-volume production environment.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
