Overview
The Senior Process Engineer will be at the heart of these efforts-leading projects that boost output, sharpen quality, and cut costs while helping to bring new products and processes online. This is a role for someone who loves turning problems into solutions, enjoys collaborating across functions, and takes pride in making systems run better, faster, and smarter.
Keep production equipment running at peak performance through proactive maintenance and creative problem-solving.
Shape and refine SOPs that make processes more consistent, more efficient, and easier to execute.
Coach and train operators and technicians so they feel confident working with new or upgraded systems.
Support process expansions that allow the business to move faster and meet growing customer demand.
Jump in with quality teams to resolve product performance issues and ensure everything shipped is right the first time.
Put your mechanical know-how (pumps, motors, valves, etc.) to work troubleshooting and optimizing equipment.
Provide leadership and mentorship for technicians, engineers, and other support staff.
Apply expertise in aseptic processes like CIP, SIP, and sterile barriers to keep operations safe and compliant.
Act as the go-to technical resource during equipment installations, startups, and improvement projects.
Lead the charge on waste reduction, process reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Translate big ideas into practical process specifications and smarter methods.
Plan and run material trials to unlock quality or productivity improvements.
Spot opportunities to cut costs or simplify processes by rethinking design, tooling, or workflow.
Redesign layouts and workflows for efficiency, ergonomics, and safety.
Challenge the status quo on quality assurance practices, looking for ways to tighten standards and reduce variation.
Turn production data into actionable insights that guide smarter decision-making.
Continuously improve processes to minimize downtime and maximize product performance.
Keep everyone on the same page through clear, proactive communication.
Take ownership of food safety and defense self-inspections, addressing issues before they become problems.
Drive root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action plans.
Ensure every process is compliant with safety rules, regulations, and internal policies.
Be an advocate for safety, setting the tone for a strong safety-first culture.
Keep technical documentation up to date-process diagrams, layouts, and schematics included.
Stay flexible and ready to step in wherever needed as priorities evolve.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical).
5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
Experience leading or mentoring people is a plus.
Background in food-grade or highly regulated environments, with knowledge of FDA, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
Experience with high-speed packaging equipment is highly valued.
