On behalf of a pioneering aerospace client in the Los Angeles area, we are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of critical aircraft structures for the next generation of aviation. The Role:
Lead the design of primary and secondary structures, including engine mounts, cowls, and fairings.
Oversee structural analysis using FEA and hand calculations to ensure safety and performance.
Create and defend structural reports compliant with FAA regulations.
Mentor junior engineers and oversee the release of engineering drawings.
Support manufacturing plans and structural qualification testing.
What You Bring:
A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
5 to 10+ years of experience in aircraft structural design and validation.
Deep knowledge of metallic and composite materials.
Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools such as Solidworks, NX, or Nastran.
Familiarity with FAA Part 23 certification standards.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset ready for a fast-paced environment.
