CSG is partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm to identify an Environmental Practice Leader for their Boston office.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced environmental professional looking to drive strategic growth across Massachusetts and the wider New England region. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in site remediation, redevelopment, regulatory compliance, and business development, while leading teams and expanding market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, expanding client relationships, and representing the business at industry and regulatory events throughout Massachusetts and New England;
  • Serve as a technical and project lead on environmental projects including:
    • Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) compliance
    • Environmental due diligence
    • Brownfield redevelopment
    • Licensed Site Professional (LSP) oversight
    • Vapor intrusion mitigation
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams including technical staff, project managers, and senior professionals;
  • Lead client and regulatory interactions with agencies and stakeholders;
  • Oversee project scopes, schedules, budgets, and financial performance;
  • Ensure technical quality and regulatory compliance across investigations, remedial activities, reporting, and risk assessments;
  • Mentor and develop staff while fostering a collaborative culture;
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, regulatory submissions, and project deliverables;
  • Support broader regional initiatives and collaborate across multiple practice areas;
  • Travel as required throughout Massachusetts and New England.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's preferred);
  • 15+ years of environmental consulting experience, with direct Massachusetts market exposure;
  • Licensed Site Professional (LSP) certification required;
  • Strong understanding of MCP, RCRA, CERCLA, and associated federal/state regulations;
  • Experience with environmental due diligence, remediation, risk assessment, and redevelopment strategies;
  • Proven success in business development, strategic growth, and leadership;
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills;
  • Experience preparing proposals, technical reports, and cost estimates;
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment;
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
