I am recruiting for a Plant Manager who would be responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for a large-scale food processing facility. This role encompasses all major plant functions, including production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation, and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety, product quality, and efficiency. The Plant Manager ensures that all operations align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and vision for all plant operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term operational goals that support company objectives for growth and profitability.

  • Oversee production performance, cost control, and quality systems to ensure consistent achievement of profit margins and efficiency targets.

  • Build, lead, and mentor a capable management team, promoting strong communication, engagement, and professional development across all levels.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment that supports employee retention and organizational success.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams-including engineering, quality assurance, marketing, and technical services-to support product innovation, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure adherence to all USDA, SSOP, and HACCP programs to maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

  • Contribute to strategic planning, including budgeting, capital investments, and manpower development, to position the facility for sustainable growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible management experience in the food processing industry, preferably within poultry or related sectors.

  • Demonstrated financial acumen in budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software.
