I am recruiting for a Plant Manager who would be responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for a large-scale food processing facility. This role encompasses all major plant functions, including production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation, and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety, product quality, and efficiency. The Plant Manager ensures that all operations align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and vision for all plant operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Develop and execute short- and long-term operational goals that support company objectives for growth and profitability.
Oversee production performance, cost control, and quality systems to ensure consistent achievement of profit margins and efficiency targets.
Build, lead, and mentor a capable management team, promoting strong communication, engagement, and professional development across all levels.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment that supports employee retention and organizational success.
Partner with cross-functional teams-including engineering, quality assurance, marketing, and technical services-to support product innovation, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure adherence to all USDA, SSOP, and HACCP programs to maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
Contribute to strategic planning, including budgeting, capital investments, and manpower development, to position the facility for sustainable growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible management experience in the food processing industry, preferably within poultry or related sectors.
Demonstrated financial acumen in budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software.
