Plant Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager organizes and directs the engineering department. The department designs, installs, and provides support to the plant's facilities, equipment, production processes, and computer network. In collaboration with other department managers, the engineering manager prioritizes improvement projects, repairs, and preventive maintenance, and provides the resources, help, and motivation the department staff needs to keep the plant up and running.

The Engineering manager needs to demonstrate a solid work ethic through diligent effort, availability, physical involvement, good decision-making, and projects completed. The results should be documented improvement in plant performance.

As a member of the Plant Manager's Staff, the Engineering Manager completes additional duties as requested by other managers within the plant, Division or Corporate Officer, and may assist other plants. Directly supervises: Maintenance superintendent and all engineers in department (networking engineers, EE, ME, IE, etc.). Indirectly supervises: maintenance technicians.
