Operations Supervisor

A leading U.S. rice manufacturer is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to support their Clean Rice (CP) department. This facility specializes in the intake, handling, and bulk storage of raw rice - a high-volume, high-responsibility environment. This role is non-production and focused on managing inventory, storage, and quality controls across a multi-shift operation.

Role Summary:

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing raw rice handling in bulk, ensuring accurate inventory control, pest prevention, and operational efficiency. This role leads a team of hourly employees across three shifts and plays a critical part in maintaining grain quality and flow throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily raw rice handling and bulk storage operations
• Lead and support a small operations team (5 employees per shift, 3 shifts total)
• Maintain accurate inventory control of millions of pounds of raw product using SAP
• Implement and monitor pest control programs and grain preservation protocols
• Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Provide occasional weekend coverage based on business needs

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in grain handling, or storage
• Strong SAP skills, particularly in inventory and materials management
• Background in pest control, grain preservation, or quality assurance
• Proven ability to manage large-scale raw material inventories
• Effective leadership and communication skills
• Flexibility to support weekend operations as needed

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Day Shift, Monday-Friday, with weekend support as required
• Leadership over a small, focused team within a larger manufacturing operation
• High-responsibility, non-production environment
