Operations Superintendent - Operations & Project Delivery
We're seeking a hands-on, operations-savvy Operations Superintendent or Project Manager to lead and execute key projects that support the long-term closure of a site in New Mexico. This role is ideal for a strong project manager and problem-solver who thrives in the field, works seamlessly with diverse teams, and excels at coordinating resources, contractors, logistics, and workflows to keep projects moving. You will oversee day-to-day closure activities, manage project schedules, and drive continuous operational improvement across water management and site infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate closure projects.
- Work closely with field teams, contractors, and internal departments.
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships.
- Implement workflow improvements and practical solutions.
- Support engineering teams with surveying, inspections, and field validation.
- Coordinate with the Engineer of Record for tailings storage facilities (TSFs).
What You Bring
- A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field (or equivalent field experience).
- 5+ years of experience in project supervision, construction operations, mining, or related heavy-industrial environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects involving resource allocation, scheduling, logistics, cost tracking, and contractor oversight.
- Experience improving processes, streamlining workflows, and resolving operational challenges quickly and effectively.
- Familiarity with permit processing and regulatory compliance, especially involving environmental or water-related regulations.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied field conditions and collaborating with teams in dynamic operational environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal staff, vendors, and regulatory partners.
- Ability to respond to urgent operational needs, including occasional after-hours or weekend callouts.
