National Account Manager - Grocery (Snacks)

As they continue expanding across major grocery retailers, they're seeking an experienced National Account Manager to drive growth across key strategic partners including Walmart, Kroger, H-E-B, Publix, Whole Foods, and Ahold.

The Opportunity
The National Account Manager (NAM) will take ownership of customer relationships and business performance across major national and regional grocery retailers. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing customer-specific strategies, managing trade spend, leading joint business planning, and delivering profitable growth across their assigned accounts.
The ideal candidate has a track record of success in the grocery channel, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings a strong blend of analytical ability, commercial strategy, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management and growth strategy for key target retail partners (Walmart, Kroger, H-E-B, Publix, Whole Foods, and Ahold).
- Develop and execute annual joint business plans to achieve sales, profit, and distribution objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities through product expansion, distribution gains, and promotional planning.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, POS trends, and promotional effectiveness to optimize results.
- Partner with internal demand planning and operations to ensure accurate forecasts and strong service levels.
- Work closely with internal teams across marketing, finance, and supply chain to deliver best-in-class execution.
- Collaborate with marketing and category management to develop data-driven selling stories and shopper activation programs.
- Support new product introductions, packaging transitions, and pricing initiatives with excellence in execution.
- Stay informed on category dynamics, competitive landscape, and shopper trends within the snack and better-for-you space.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5-8 years of CPG sales experience with direct responsibility for major grocery retailers (Walmart, Kroger, etc.).
- Proven record of driving sales growth and building strategic retail relationships.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with proficiency in retailer portals.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
