CSG Talent are currently working with a major underground European mine to support their search for a Medium Term Mine Planning engineer. This role is a great opportunity to work at a Tier 1 mine with many complex engineering challenges alongside a brilliantly talented team. Located close to a major city this is also a rare opportuity to work at a Tier 1 mine but still have proximity to a key social and transport hub.

This role will see you take wholesale ownership of the 3-month rolling mine plan at one of Europe's most established underground operations. Working within a tight-knit planning team, this role sits at the heart of production delivery, balancing schedule optimisation, operational constraints and real-world underground execution.

You'll lead short-to-medium term planning cycles, drive monthly planning rhythms, and optimise production schedules while supporting resource/reserve updates and productivity analysis. This is a hands-on role with real influence, ideal for someone who understands underground mining beyond the screen but is looking to push their experience forward in a talented and dedicated team addressing some genuinely unique mining challenges and projects.

We're looking for a mining engineer with strong underground experience (ideally longhole stoping and backfill), proven exposure to planning/scheduling, and confidence working with tools like Deswik. Just as important: attention to detail, communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with operations in a safety-first environment.
