MD - LATAM - Mining Chemicals and Explosives

CSG Talent are working with a world leading high-growth explosives and mining chemicals company to appoint their new MD - South America - Peru.

With significant capital approved, plants being deployed and strong pull from global mining clients, the MD - South America will lead the region through its next phase of scale and growth. This is a rare opportunity to take full regional ownership and shape a business with a massive opportunity for growth.

The role carries full P&L accountability across multiple countries, leading country managers and driving regional strategy execution. You will secure and grow major mining contracts, oversee operational performance, ensure governance and regulatory compliance, and lead capital deployment in Peru and elsewhere as additional manufacturing capacity comes online.

In the early phase, the focus is strongly commercial, building further Tier 1 mining relationships, converting pipeline to long-term contracts, and positioning the region for sustained growth before transitioning into a broader regional leadership model as scale increases.

To be considered, you will bring significant leadership experience within explosives or mining services, including proven success in winning and managing major contracts. You must have operated at senior strategic level with clear P&L ownership, strong financial acumen, and experience managing multi-country teams. A technical background in mining engineering or similar is preferred, alongside a business qualification.

Fluency in Spanish and English is essential, Portuguese highly desirable. This role requires a commercially driven, decisive leader who can build momentum quickly and operate effectively in a high-growth, multi-jurisdictional environment.
