Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead brand, digital, and e-commerce marketing for our beef business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening our brand presence, driving online sales, and supporting retail and wholesale channels. This role requires a unique blend of food industry knowledge, e-commerce expertise, and creative marketing leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning

    • Develop and execute the marketing strategy aligned with company growth goals.

    • Build and protect a strong brand identity across all consumer and trade touchpoints.

  • Digital & E-Commerce Marketing

    • Manage and grow the company's online store and digital platforms.

    • Drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention through SEO, PPC, social media, email campaigns, and CRM.

    • Oversee product content creation (imagery, descriptions, videos, blogs, recipes) to optimise online presence.

    • Analyse e-commerce KPIs (traffic, basket value, repeat purchase, churn) and recommend improvements.

  • Campaign Management

    • Plan and deliver promotional campaigns for seasonal peaks (e.g., BBQ season, holidays, gifting).

    • Develop partnerships with influencers, chefs, and food media outlets.

    • Coordinate with production and logistics to ensure campaigns align with supply capacity.

  • Customer Insights & Data

    • Leverage data analytics to segment customers and create personalised marketing journeys.

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour in meat and premium food retail.

  • Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to align marketing with commercial targets.

    • Manage agencies and freelancers where required (digital ads, PR, creative design).

Skills & Experience Required

  • Essential:

    • Proven track record in digital and e-commerce marketing, ideally in FMCG, premium food, or D2C.

    • Strong understanding of online customer acquisition and retention strategies.

    • Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or similar e-commerce platforms.

    • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, SEO tools, and CRM systems.

    • Excellent copywriting and content creation skills with a flair for storytelling in the food space.

    • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Desirable:

    • Experience in the meat, fresh food, or agriculture sector.

    • Knowledge of logistics and fulfilment challenges in perishable goods e-commerce.

    • Familiarity with B2B marketing for wholesale and foodservice.

    • Strong network in the food, hospitality, or retail industries.
