The company's advanced power systems division is focused on next-generation space solar hardware designed for high performance, low cost, and scalable production. These systems support both commercial space applications and long-term off-world infrastructure initiatives.

The Role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and scale manufacturing processes for space solar hardware. This role will focus on process development, tooling design, automation, quality systems, and production readiness in a busy aerospace manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, process-oriented, and motivated to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and throughput while supporting rapid product iteration and scale-up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and production techniques for high-rate hardware manufacturing
  • Design precision tooling and fixtures to improve assembly accuracy, reduce variability, and minimize production cycle time
  • Implement automation solutions to improve repeatability and scalability across manufacturing lines
  • Collaborate closely with design engineering teams to drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) improvements
  • Support transition of products from development into production by documenting stable and repeatable manufacturing processes


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, process development, or production engineering (internship and academic project experience considered)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in high-rate or mixed-value-stream manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes, production testing, root-cause analysis, and failure analysis methodologies
  • Experience developing or improving weld processes and weld inspection methods, including automated systems
  • Exposure to aerospace, space systems, or other high-reliability hardware industries
