Are you a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for developing high-performing teams? As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee daily maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, maximize uptime, and support a safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing environment.
You will:
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians across assigned shifts.
Prioritize, assign, and monitor work orders, preventive maintenance, and repair activities.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Ensure all maintenance tasks follow safety rules, food safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
Coordinate with production, quality, sanitation, and engineering teams to meet operational goals.
Train, coach, and mentor technicians to improve skill levels and performance.
Assist in planning and executing scheduled shutdowns, rebuilds, and large repair projects.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, parts inventories, and CMMS documentation.
Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes related to equipment failures.
Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with lockout/tagout and all safety procedures.
Experience leading or supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Proficiency with CMMS systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or holidays, depending on operational needs.
Experience in dairy, food manufacturing, or other regulated processing industries.
Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related fields.
Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and industrial controls.
Experience with pumps, tanks, valves, heat exchangers, 3-phase motors, and processing equipment.
Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma).
Strong understanding of safety programs, including LOTO, HazMat, and equipment-specific protocols.
