🔧 Maintenance Mechanic

What You'll Do

You will:

  • Use power tools, welding tools, forklifts, articulating booms, and more to complete assigned projects.

  • Read blueprints and create layout sketches.

  • Use a plasma cutter for various fabrication tasks.

  • Diagnose and repair plant breakdowns quickly and accurately using troubleshooting skills.

  • Troubleshoot and wire 3-phase motors, as well as 110v and 24v control wiring.

  • Rebuild centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.

  • Follow all safety procedures and uphold the core value of Excellence.

  • Communicate and collaborate closely with production operators to maintain equipment reliability.

  • Prioritize work effectively and take ownership of repairs and results.

  • Actively participate in training and development programs that may occur before, during, or after shifts.

  • Help coach and train team members through hands-on and buddy training.

  • Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards, reporting any incidents or opportunities for improvement.

  • Participate in food safety root cause investigations when needed.

  • Always prioritize safety by identifying and reporting hazards and supporting safety team activities.

  • Potentially participate in ERT and HazMat teams.

What You'll Need

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience OR completion of a technical program.

  • Solid knowledge of basic hand tools.

  • Ability to clearly explain troubleshooting methods.

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and rotating 12-hour shifts (7-7).

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Certificate or training in Industrial Maintenance, Automotive/Diesel Equipment, or related fields.

  • 1 year of SAP experience.

  • 2 years of dairy manufacturing and 1 year of operator-based maintenance experience.

  • 4 years of industrial manufacturing or 2 years of industrial/automotive/diesel/ag maintenance experience.

  • Basic knowledge of gas, TIG, MIG, and arc welding (most welding is performed by external vendors, but familiarity is beneficial).
