We are seeking a skilled and driven Maintenance Manager to lead our first-shift maintenance team at a high-volume food production facility. This role is critical in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting a consistent, safe manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in preventative maintenance strategies, team leadership, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the first-shift maintenance team, ensuring daily operations run efficiently.

  • Oversee all preventative and reactive maintenance on production lines, including mechanical, electrical, and utilities systems.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated and semi-automated processing equipment used in coating, frying, and packaging applications.

  • Prioritize and respond to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, USDA, FDA).

  • Collaborate with other departments (Production, QA, Sanitation) to support operational goals.

  • Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and documentation using CMMS systems.

  • Support capital improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to maintenance technicians and mechanics.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment (food processing preferred but not required).

  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial electricity, PLCs, and utility systems (e.g., boilers, compressors).

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and root cause analysis.

  • Working knowledge of CMMS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Proven track record of improving equipment uptime and reliability.

  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
