We are working with a leading meat manufacturing company known for producing high-quality, safe, and sustainable products. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of all maintenance operations within our processing facility.

Role Overview
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant maintenance - including mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and utilities - to ensure equipment uptime, safety, and compliance. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a leader who can build strong teams, drive preventive maintenance programs, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and plant reliability.

  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

  • Oversee maintenance of production equipment, refrigeration systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards, including OSHA and USDA requirements.

  • Partner with production and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.

  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.

  • Track and analyze maintenance KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.

  • Provide training, mentoring, and development for maintenance staff.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of maintenance management experience in food or meat processing manufacturing.

  • Strong technical knowledge of processing equipment, refrigeration systems, hydraulics, and PLC-controlled systems.

  • Proven experience implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
