As an Operations Line Leader, you will lead a line-centric leadership team to achieve breakthrough production results in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for all results on your assigned line or area - up to 80 team members - using a rigorous Daily Direction Setting system in partnership with a Line Continuous Improvement Lead and a Maintenance Lead. Together, you will set priorities and drive out losses across a 24-hour, multi-shift operation.
You will take ownership of Safety, Quality, Production, Reliability, and Material Usage targets to deliver operational excellence and foster a culture of engagement and accountability. Your leadership will help ensure that your team consistently meets customer expectations and production goals.
Own human and food safety for your line/system and drive continuous improvement in both.
Serve as the single point of accountability for the delivery of line performance and financial targets.
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development for all team members.
Build operator capability to identify, measure, and eliminate losses on their equipment.
Identify training gaps and develop comprehensive training plans to close them.
Empower employees to use lean manufacturing tools to eliminate waste and improve performance.
Manage day-to-day line operations, ensuring safety, product quality, and execution of improvement plans.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily leadership of operators and technicians.
Lead effective shift handoffs and support onboarding for new employees.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics for your shift.
Execute efficient line start-ups, changeovers, and maintenance priorities.
Drive engagement and performance through clear communication and recognition programs.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to apply Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools.
Basic technical capability on at least one product platform.
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as needed.
