CSG is currently partnering with a growing space launch start-up based on Florida's Space Coast that is developing a disruptive hybrid propulsion system. With patented technology and a strong focus on sustainability, they are building a next-generation launch vehicle capable of reducing cost and environmental impact, using recycled thermoplastics as fuel.

This is a unique opportunity to become one of the first dedicated Flight Software Engineers in the company. The successful candidate will take ownership of the design, development, testing, and integration of flight and ground software systems critical to launch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of embedded software for autonomous, safety-critical launch vehicle systems

  • Integrate flight, test, and ground support software across the full vehicle architecture

  • Collaborate directly with multidisciplinary hardware, test, and propulsion teams

  • Manage software documentation, unit testing, and Hardware-in-the-Loop validation

  • Ensure compliance with aerospace software standards (e.g., NASA-STD-8739.8, DO-178C)

  • Contribute technical leadership to help scale the software team over time

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with flight or ground software in space systems

  • Strong background in embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)

  • Proficiency in C++, Python, and experience with Git-based version control

  • Exposure to the full vehicle development lifecycle - design, test, integration

  • US Person (ITAR-compliant)

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a start-up or fast-paced aerospace environment

  • Familiarity with telemetry systems, vehicle networking (CAN, TCP/IP), and packet processing

  • Experience leading software projects and working directly with external partners

  • Understanding of 14 CFR 450.141 compliance

Location: Onsite - Florida
Clearance: None required, but must be ITAR eligible
