Head of R&D

CSG are partnered with a fast-growing clean-tech company pioneering a novel method for recycling batteries who are now seeking a Head of R&D. This leader will shape the R&D strategy, guide a growing team, and drive the scale-up of lab innovations into commercial-ready processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead scientific direction and R&D roadmap in collaboration with leadership

• Mentor and grow a high-performing research team

• Oversee experimental design, data analysis, and IP development

• Bridge R&D and engineering to scale new technologies

• Drive process optimization and pilot-to-production transition

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field

• 5-15 years of relevant R&D experience in battery technology, electrochemical systems, or recycling processes

• Expertise in electrochemical systems and scale-up processes including kinetics, thermodynamics, and electrode/materials design

• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills

• Startup mindset with a focus on innovation and sustainability
