Head of Central Certification Body
Location: Flexible / Germany
Head of Central Cert Body (CCB) is a critical role within BU MSC to strive for our positioning as a global premium service provider for management systems auditing services. Responsible for unification, standardizing the cert body operations on Business Unit level to improve efficiency, productivity, quality as well as central governance, this role involves analyzing current processes, aligning the to-be processes, and implementing changes within the cert bodies to achieve strategic objectives.
Based on high level of unification especially on auditor qualification, technical review process as well as the unified interpretation of rules and regulations, the CCB shall manage the resources globally to offer services in flat world and be the default option for MSC business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Management of the Central Cert Body
- Ensure impartial interpretation and application of core accreditation rules
- Establish process for the uniform interpretation of Accreditation rules to be communicated to all entities and adhered to
- Align and implement unified operation of the selected accreditations within the CCB, to enable de-risking of possible shortfall of single accreditation
- Establish the CCB auditor program to enable cross acceptance of auditor qualification
- Establish new auditor developmental program to extend the auditor pool
- Establish the CCB unified technical review process and requirements. Deliver the technical review service globally
- Define and hand-over new processes into the operational organization.
- Identify, request, and lead a team of subject matter experts to operate the CCB. Overall responsible for the adherence to CCB KPIs defined by BU in terms of quality, efficiency and value adding to internal/external stakeholders
- Regular technical exchange e.g. Head of CB meeting. Regular training to users of CCB
- Establish formal CCB communication platform for providing technical support for all entities.
- Oversee cert issuance
- Develop and implement necessary procedures and forms to support activities
- Maintain the major accreditations and promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and innovation in processes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in natural science, engineering, process engineering, computer science or a related field.
- Knowledge of ISO 17021/17065/17029 and MD requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as head of cert body with a IAF affiliated accreditation.
- Minimum as ISO 9001 lead auditor with 5 years of auditing experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional and cultural teams.
- Project management skills to plan and execute process improvement projects.
- Experience in leading organizational change management
- Experience in cert body requirements unification is a plus.
The ideal candidate will come from a senior leadership/management role within an internationally established and multi-cert focused body with a proven track record in strategic development, operational excellence and talent pool management.
