Group Financial Accountant

About the Opportunity

We're working with a leading PLC, headquartered in Cheshire, to appoint a talented Group Accountant.

This is an outstanding move for a newly qualified ACA (or equivalent) professional, ideally trained in a Big 4 environment, looking to transition into a dynamic industry role with breadth, challenge, and progression potential.

You'll join a high-performing Group Finance team, supporting consolidated reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements across multiple business units.

This role is perfect if you want to broaden your skills, gain commercial exposure, and influence decision-making at group level.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and improving monthly group consolidated accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Partnering with business units to review and challenge management accounts, delivering valuable insight.

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for senior stakeholders.

• Driving improvements in financial systems and reporting processes.

• Assisting with the annual report, statutory accounts, and audit coordination.

• Building relationships across Group, Business, and Operational Finance teams to ensure strong governance and transparency.

What we're looking for:

• ACA (or equivalent) qualified, ideally Big 4 trained.

• Strong technical accounting skills with solid IFRS knowledge.

• Proven ability to analyse, challenge, and present financial information clearly.

• A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders.
