My client a pioneering company specializing in next-generation space mobility and satellite servicing is seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to join their growing R&D team in California.
This organization is developing cutting-edge small satellite platforms for missions ranging from orbital logistics to national security operations and in-space servicing.
As a GNC Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement advanced GNC algorithms and systems critical to the success of high-impact space missions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for small satellite missions.
Perform mission analysis, trajectory optimization, and orbit determination.
Integrate and validate GNC hardware components (e.g., star trackers, sun sensors, GPS receivers).
Collaborate across mission design, software, and spacecraft engineering teams to ensure seamless subsystem integration.
Conduct modeling, simulation, testing, and verification of GNC systems and flight software.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical strategy for future satellite missions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.) in Aerospace Engineering, Control Systems, Orbital Mechanics, or related field (or BS + 5 years' experience).
Strong experience developing, testing, and implementing GNC algorithms for spacecraft.
Advanced proficiency in C++ and/or Python for algorithm development and simulations.
