This role is ideal for a results-oriented sales professional with experience in the building materials or construction industry, particularly with architectural glass, glazing, or façade systems, preferred but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a sales territory
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with glaziers, general contractors, architects, and other key decision-makers.
- Identify new business opportunities, build pipelines, and meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor regional market trends, competitive activity, and project pipelines to proactively position the company as a preferred partner.
- Convert the company's capabilities into a value proposition for prospective customers.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure we meet client expectations and are always providing value for our clients.
- Participate in local industry trade shows and events, where direct networking with architects, designers, and end-users is an opportunity to generate further sales.
- Use Customer Relationship Management systems for reporting, maintaining, and expanding customer base. Entering projects and managing those project timelines; detail activities, progress, market information, and other relevant data as appropriate or as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success in outside sales, preferably within architectural glass, glazing, building materials, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer value drivers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage time effectively in a regional role.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Western Washington area.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and project tracking software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory of Washington and Oregon.
- Strong technical skills to operating in software.
