As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a hands-on role providing installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for advanced conveying systems and related equipment. You'll work directly with customers to ensure their systems are performing at their best while being part of a skilled, supportive technical team.
The role offers exposure to cutting-edge automation systems and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across Australia.
Perform field service work, including installation, commissioning, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
Diagnose and resolve faults in complex conveying and automation equipment.
Provide responsive technical service and maintenance support to customers both onsite and remotely.
Collaborate with internal engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to meet project deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing professional, solutions-focused service.
Prepare and complete detailed service reports and documentation.
Adhere to all OH&S procedures and company safety policies.
Support workshop assembly and testing activities when not on customer sites.
We are seeking a practical, safety-minded technician with a passion for hands-on work, problem-solving, and customer service.
You will bring:
Trade qualification in Fitting and Machining, or a similar mechanical background.
Proven experience in field service, maintenance, or installation within automation, manufacturing, or materials handling industries.
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults; restricted electrical licence highly regarded.
Confidence reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
A proactive attitude, flexibility to travel locally and occasionally interstate, and the ability to work independently when required.
Licences such as forklift, elevated platform, or working at heights will be advantageous.
Solid understanding of OH&S practices and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
