This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in material handling and automation technology, supporting customers across a range of industries including logistics, warehousing, food and beverage, and manufacturing. As the Field Service Supervisor, you will play a key hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with people management. You will lead a small team of field technicians and contractors, oversee installation and service projects, and ensure customer systems are operating at peak performance. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that will see you working across both customer sites and the company's service facility.
Supervise and coordinate field service activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work.
Lead, support, and develop a team of technicians and subcontractors on-site, ensuring work is completed to agreed schedules and standards.
Act as the main technical point of contact for customers, managing callouts, service visits, and troubleshooting support.
Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, and fault finding on electromechanical systems including conveyor modules, sorters, and drive technologies.
Provide guidance and training to customers and service partners where required.
Support the Service Manager in managing project schedules, budgets, and service growth initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and submit detailed service reports and documentation following all site work.
We are looking for a proactive, customer-focused professional who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with leadership and problem-solving.
You will bring:
Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (A-Grade Electrical Licence highly regarded).
Demonstrated experience in field service or technical support within automation, material handling, or industrial machinery environments.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience leading teams or supervising contractors in the field.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel locally and interstate as required.
PLC experience (Siemens preferred) and ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings will be well regarded.
