Field Service Technician - Mining & Industrial - Iberia

Are you a mechanic with assembly and maintenance experience on heavy mining equipment?

Have you worked in the field in a client facing role?

Are you located in Southern Spain with ability to travel across Iberia?

This role is working for a global engineering company who are frontrunners in sustainable technology, end-to-end solutions, and services for the mining, aggregates and oil & gas industries. Reporting directly to the Spain Consumables & Services Manager. This is a remote role that requires 90% travel.

Due to an internal promotion, they are looking for a Field Service Technician to join their Iberian Field Service team. The role, located in southern Spain, is responsible for providing workshop duties as well as on-site mechanical repairs, inspections, adjustments and other service activities relating to our mining products.

Duties:

• Handle field service challenges with a clear, ownership-oriented approach, ensuring swift resolution.
• Ensure detailed reporting, submitting recommendations, evaluations, expense reports, action reports, and monthly work logs.
• Provide comprehensive field and classroom-based training on service, maintenance, and commissioning for customers and end-user personnel.
• Work at remote customer sites for extended periods, experiencing diverse cultures and environments.

You will need:

• Experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of mining heavy equipment
• Mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Fluency in English, and Spanish.
