Overview

A global provider of advanced material handling and logistics solutions is seeking an Account Manager to support its continued growth across the EMEA Parcel and Postal market. This role is responsible for the development and expansion of defined end-user accounts within large, complex logistics and distribution environments.

The position sits within a specialist logistics and material handling team and focuses on solution-based selling to end users and system integrators. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with technical credibility and a consultative sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Value & Solution Development

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers by consulting with technical and commercial decision-makers on material handling concepts and system layouts

  • Thoroughly qualify opportunities and deliver tailored, value-driven recommendations aligned to customer requirements

  • Identify new application opportunities and collaborate with internal technical resources on solution development

Sales & Account Development

  • Qualify and prioritise leads based on strategic fit and revenue potential

  • Identify and engage key buying influences within complex, multi-stakeholder organisations

  • Develop and execute account development plans and opportunity pipelines

  • Clearly articulate differentiated value propositions for each solution offered

Business Growth & Team Collaboration

  • Proactively identify and develop new customer accounts through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach

  • Work effectively within a global organisation to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously

  • Lead and coordinate regional selling activities with application engineers and project managers

  • Share best practices across regions and contribute to continuous improvement

Reporting & Market Insight

  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on customer activity, market trends, and competitive dynamics

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in an engineering or technical discipline combined with business education; MBA is advantageous

  • Minimum 3 years of successful technical B2B sales experience selling equipment and/or systems

  • Prior exposure to automation solutions within e-commerce, warehousing, distribution centres, parcel, or postal environments strongly preferred

  • Solid understanding of material handling systems within logistics-intensive industries

Skills & Attributes

  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a home-office environment

  • Structured, disciplined, and capable of managing a high volume of parallel projects

  • Strong consultative selling mindset with the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value

  • Clear, concise communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills

  • Continuous learner with the ability to apply industry knowledge to sales strategy

  • Proficient with CRM systems and common sales and engineering tools (e.g. configurators, CAD software)

Mobility

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 60%
