Electrical Construction Estimator - (Electrical Construction)
Job Type: Full-time | Salary: $90,000 - $200,000/year
We are seeking Estimators of all levels to support proposal development for electrical infrastructure projects in transmission, distribution, and substations. You will develop detailed cost estimates, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, and collaborate with clients to deliver competitive, high-quality proposals.
Develop accurate cost estimates (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors) with minimal supervision
Perform material and labor take-offs and prepare cost breakdowns
Review plans, specifications, and standards to ensure accurate pricing
Issue and evaluate vendor/subcontractor RFPs; document all estimates
Support project handoff by communicating estimate details to project teams
Participate in internal and external estimate reviews
Assist with contract awards, procurement, and negotiation
Maintain high quality and compliance with company standards
Education:
Strongly preferred: Electrical estimating or commercial electrical background
Alternatively: Bachelor's in STEM, Finance, or Business with strong math skills
Experience:
Junior Estimator: 2-3 years
Senior Estimator: 5+ years
Entry-level: Relevant field or operations experience in infrastructure construction
Skills:
Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and specifications
Solid understanding of utility systems, construction, and estimating principles
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Accubid or similar software a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in office and on construction sites as needed
