Electrical Project Manager - Heavy Civil Electrical Construction (DOT / MTA / PANYNJ)

About the Role
An established electrical contractor in NYC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects across DOT, MTA, and PANYNJ. This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing complex electrical scopes within heavy civil environments-bridges, tunnels, transit stations, highways, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of heavy civil electrical construction projects from start to finish.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans.
Coordinate with agency representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Lead contract administration, procurement, and RFI/change order processes.
Ensure compliance with NYC codes, union labor practices, and safety standards.
Oversee monthly billing, WIP reporting, and cost tracking.
Resolve conflicts and keep the project on time and within scope.
Ideal Candidate Profile
5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction for public works or infrastructure.
Strong working knowledge of DOT, MTA, or PANYNJ standards and contract requirements.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Viewpoint, Procore, or Bluebeam.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or similar preferred.
OSHA 30 certification required.
