Our client is a well-established and rapidly expanding fresh produce business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and service. Supplying leading retailers across North America, they are now poised for significant growth across the East Coast retail market. To support this expansion, we're seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead regional strategy and retail development.

The East Coast Sales Director will take ownership of retail sales strategy and execution across key East Coast accounts. This is a pivotal commercial leadership role, responsible for building strategic retail partnerships, developing go-to-market plans, and driving sustained growth in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage East Coast retail sales growth across national and regional grocery retailers.

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand market presence and drive revenue.

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key retail buyers, category managers, and distribution partners.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional activity to optimize profitability and category performance.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and supply chain to deliver customer excellence.

  • Analyze category data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events across the East

Requirements Coast

  • Multiple years' experience in sales or business development within the fresh produce or perishable food industry.

  • Strong background in retail account management with established relationships with key buyers & at a senior level across East Coast grocery chains.

  • Proven success in leading sales growth, category strategy, and joint business planning.

  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Results-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Existing experience with new business wins as well as existing account development.
