Senior Drinking Water Engineer / Project Manager

CSG Talent is partnering with an established, employee-owned environmental and engineering consultancy as they continue to expand their Drinking Water practice across the United States.

Following continued growth, they are looking to add experienced Drinking Water Engineers and Project Managers to a national team of approximately 55 water professionals.

This is an opportunity for an experienced municipal water engineer who wants the flexibility of a remote position while remaining involved in meaningful drinking water infrastructure projects, client relationships and technical/project leadership.

The Opportunity

You will work across a variety of municipal drinking water infrastructure projects, with the opportunity to take responsibility for project delivery, technical leadership and client relationships depending on your experience and interests.

Projects can include:

• Drinking water treatment facilities and upgrades
• Water transmission and distribution systems
• Pump stations and storage facilities
• Distribution system modelling and capacity improvements
• PFAS treatment
• Lead & Copper Rule initiatives
• Master planning and capital improvement programmes
• Water quality and regulatory compliance
• Infrastructure rehabilitation and resiliency programmes

You will work alongside engineers, scientists and design professionals across a national drinking water practice, with the ability to support projects outside your immediate geography.

Responsibilities

Depending on your level, responsibilities may include:

• Leading the planning, design and delivery of municipal drinking water projects
• Managing project scope, budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary project teams
• Providing technical leadership across treatment and distribution projects
• Working directly with municipal clients and regulatory agencies
• Supporting technical approaches for complex infrastructure projects
• Reviewing engineering designs and providing QA/QC
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers
• Supporting proposals, pursuits and client development
• Developing and maintaining long-term municipal client relationships
• Supporting the continued growth of the Drinking Water practice

What We're Looking For

We are interested in speaking with experienced engineers who bring:

• Approximately 10+ years of engineering experience within the water sector
• Strong municipal drinking water experience
• Experience across drinking water treatment and/or transmission & distribution
• A BS or MS in Civil, Environmental or a related Engineering discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
• Experience delivering engineering projects within a consulting environment
• Strong knowledge of drinking water infrastructure planning, design and project delivery

For more senior candidates, experience leading technical teams, managing major projects, mentoring engineers and developing client relationships would be particularly valuable.

Location & Flexibility

The positions can be remote, with the priority being candidates who are located within the relevant client markets or hold PE licensure that can support those regions.

There will be travel to client sites, project meetings and company offices as required, typically around once per month and up to approximately 20-25%.
