A leading UK industrial group is seeking a commercially astute and technically strong Divisional Financial Controller to drive financial strategy, reporting excellence, and process transformation across a major business unit. This is a rare opportunity for a Big 4-trained finance leader to step into a senior role where you'll make a tangible impact from day one.

The Role

This high-profile leadership role will see you partner closely with commercial heads and the Group CFO to elevate financial controls, embed process improvements, and enhance business insight. You'll lead a talented finance team while taking ownership of divisional reporting, risk management, and strategic planning.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end financial management, ensuring high-quality statutory and management reporting under IFRS/GAAP.
• Spearhead automation and process improvement initiatives, driving greater efficiency and data accuracy.
• Own audit readiness and control environments - liaising directly with internal/external auditors.
• Partner with commercial and operational leaders to deliver insights and financial stewardship.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and key treasury activities in collaboration with Group functions.
• Develop ESG-aligned financial practices and reporting.

What We're Looking For

• ACA qualified, with a Big 4 audit background (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in senior finance roles within complex, fast-moving environments.
• A broad finance background with strong technical, reporting, and strategic planning capabilities.
• Track record of leading process improvement, transformation, or automation projects.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Available immediately or within 4 weeks' notice maximum.
