We're looking for an experienced Distribution Team Leader to guide and develop our distribution operations. In this role, you'll inspire your team to deliver exceptional performance in cost efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You'll also play a key role in shaping processes, ensuring operational capacity, and collaborating across departments to strengthen the supply chain from end to end.
Please note that you will be required to relocate to Missouri for this position. Strong relocation assistance is provided in relation to this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive initiatives focused on improving distribution performance in the areas of safety, service, cost, and quality.
- Design and implement a long-term distribution strategy and supporting systems that align with organizational goals.
- Act as the primary contact for third-party warehouse and logistics providers, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Oversee the company's forklift operations program, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and food-handling regulations relevant to distribution centers.
- Establish and maintain standardized processes, including SOPs and measurable KPIs, to promote efficiency and consistency.
- Support or lead process improvements across Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations to enhance communication and performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment with food safety and quality standards, as well as customer expectations.
- Monitor and audit operational procedures, identify areas of noncompliance, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience in distribution, operations, or supply chain management, including leadership experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Expeirence of overseeing a large number of truckloads per day - 70+.
- Proven ability to adapt and learn new systems independently.
- Experience gathering requirements and conducting interviews for process development.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and technical learning.
- Deep understanding of logistics processes, supply chain operations, and project management practices.
- Must have completed at least two years in current internal role (for internal applicants).
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
