Our Client is global leading Food Manufactuer and they are seeking an experienced Director of Sanitation to lead, standardize, and elevate sanitation programs.
This role will be looking after two sites with future growth and sites.
The role
The Sanitation Director is responsible for developing, standardizing, and overseeing sanitation programs companywide by:
- Designing and improving sanitation procedures and SSOPs
- Director of Sanitation leads all aspects of plant sanitation, ensuring world-class standards of cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensuring compliance with USDA/FDA regulations and internal food safety programs
- Leading sanitation training, audits, and process improvements
- Supporting investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions related to micro/spoilage or environmental monitoring
- Partnering with cross-functional teams, vendors, and equipment manufacturers to maintain sanitary design standards
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enhance SSOPs, equipment cleaning procedures, and sanitation programs across all sites.
- Standardize Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS), including PEC and PIC tasks, ensuring effective sanitation performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered for highly qualified candidates
- Proven experience developing, implementing, or operating within robust sanitation and food safety systems
- Collaborative and influential communicator with the ability to partner across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, vendors, auditors, and technical teams
- Experience in Food,fresh produce, meat, or dairy sanitation preferred
- Solid knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, federal and state regulations, and food safety requirements
