I am working with a leading manufacturer of seafood and diverse food products, supplying customers worldwide with high-quality, sustainable, and innovative solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee production operations across our facilities, while driving efficiency and optimization within our warehouse and distribution networks.
Role Overview
The Director of Operations will be responsible for the overall oversight and management of production, ensuring that output meets business, quality, and regulatory standards. A key element of this role is the leadership and optimization of warehouse operations-ensuring inventory accuracy, space utilization, and seamless integration between production and logistics. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader with strong operational expertise in both manufacturing and warehousing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and direction for production operations across seafood and other food product lines.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (HACCP, GMP, BRC, etc.).
Lead warehouse and distribution optimization initiatives, improving layout, inventory control, and material flow.
Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost control across production and warehousing.
Partner with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
Implement and monitor KPIs for production output, warehouse performance, and service levels.
Oversee and optimize labor planning, resource allocation, and equipment utilization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and warehouse best practices.
Mentor, develop, and engage teams across production and warehouse functions.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and operational reporting for both production and warehouse functions.
