As they expand our international footprint, we are seeking a Director of Business Development to spearhead strategic growth, drive new market opportunities, and solidify their leadership in the comminution equipment space.


The Role

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for shaping and executing the company's commercial strategy in both established and emerging mining markets. This is a senior leadership role with a focus on:

  • Driving revenue growth across North American mining accounts.

  • Building and nurturing executive-level customer relationships.

  • Identifying, evaluating, and developing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

  • Leading commercial negotiations for major equipment, service, and lifecycle contracts.

  • Collaborating closely with engineering, product development, and operations to align customer needs with technical solutions.

  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategy.

  • Representing the company at industry forums, trade shows, and conferences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand market share in comminution equipment.

  • Lead sales teams in targeting major mining operators, EPCMs, and strategic accounts.

  • Establish multi-year growth plans aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Oversee bid management, contract negotiations, and closing of high-value deals.

  • Provide market intelligence and strategic insight to senior leadership.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years' experience in senior business development, sales, or commercial leadership roles within the mining OEM, comminution, or mineral processing equipment sector.

  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in capital equipment and services.

  • Strong network of executive contacts across mining companies, EPCMs, and industry stakeholders.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Global mindset with willingness to travel internationally.
