Director - Data Center Infrastructure Services (EMEA)

Role Summary

A global technology leader is launching a new, dedicated Data Center Infrastructure Services business across the entire EMEA region to support Hyperscale, Colocation, Enterprise, and Edge customers. This is an entrepreneurial leadership role responsible for building, leading, and scaling this business from the ground up, covering the full lifecycle of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy, P&L, and Business Scaling

  • Develop and own the end-to-end services strategy for both Grey Room (Facilities) and White Room (IT) data center infrastructure.

  • Define the entire service portfolio, including:

    • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance

    • Remote Monitoring & Service Analytics

    • Lifecycle Management, Upgrades, and Retrofit programs

    • Spare Parts management and Emergency Response.

  • Establish commercial models (service contracts, SLAs, managed services, performance-based models) and own the financial P&L and budgets for the entire EMEA Service organization.

2. Service Delivery and Operational Excellence

  • Build the organization from scratch: define structure, roles, training, and certification pathways for a high-performance service team.

  • Establish and enforce world-class processes for incident management, dispatch, technical support, and customer communication.

  • Drive operational metrics (response time, fix time, first-time-fix rate, availability) and ensure compliance with all HSE and quality standards.

  • Implement service management platforms (FSM, CRM) and remote monitoring tools to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

3. Leadership and Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the executive owner of customer relationships for all service matters and lead critical service review meetings.

  • Partner closely with the EMEA Sales, Product Management, R&D, and factory teams to align the service offering with product roadmaps and customer needs.

Required Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 10+ years in senior commercial/services leadership, with demonstrable P&L ownership within complex service organizations (preferably at an OEM or Colocation/Hyperscale service provider).

  • Technical Domain: Strong track record managing services around Critical Power (UPS, batteries, PDU/Busway) and Thermal Solutions (cooling, high-density cooling).

  • Skills: Deep financial acumen, structured process orientation, excellent communication, and an entrepreneurial mindset capable of building a new business.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is required.
